Tamar Sher joined the First Alert 4 team in March 2023 as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. A St. Louis native, her passion for sports media began in The Lou, so she couldn't be more excited to cover her hometown teams.
Tamar was named the 2025 Missouri Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (NSMA). She hosts Matrix Midwest’s pre- and post-game Mizzou Football shows, The Nightcap on 4 on Saturday nights and Sports Sunday.
In her time with Sports on 4, Tamar has covered Spring Training for the Cardinals, City SC, the Blues, highlighted St. Louis sports figures and shared stories of local athletes. She is also the sideline reporter for the Saint Louis University Billikens men’s basketball team.
A second-generation Hoosier, Tamar is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington. She received her degree from The Media School before starting her career as Sports Director at the NBC affiliate in Evansville, Indiana.
